Here is General Motor's recommendation for preventive
maintenance on your Corvette. These services can vary depending
on use, environment, and preference. But it provides some guidelines
to start. If we can help with any of these services please let me
know and we can schedule your service. Please let me know what maintenance

1997 - 2009 Model years
Oil and Filter
- Change engine oil and filter as indicated by
oil life monitor, or every 15,000 miles, or 12 months which ever occurs
first.
Cooling System Service
- Drain, flush and refill system with new coolant
Interval: Every 150000 miles or 60 months since last service whichever
occurs first
Air Cleaner Filter Replacement
- After 30,000 miles or more often in dusty conditions.
Engine Accessory Drive Belt Inspection
- Inspect the belt(s), for cracks, fraying, wear
and proper tension. Replace as needed
Every 60000 miles
Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter Replacement
- Allison Transmissions only
- Change automatic transmission fluid and filter
Every 100000 miles
Spark Plug Replacement
- Every 100,000 miles
- Also check plug wires at this time.
Six month checkup
- Inspect the front
and rear suspension and steering system
for damaged, loose, or missing parts,
signs of wear, or lack of lubrication.
- Inspect the power
steering lines and hoses for proper hookup,
binding, leaks, cracks, chafing, etc.
- Clean and then
inspect the drive axle boot seals for
damage, tears, or leakage. Replace seals
if necessary.
- Inspect the complete
exhaust system. Inspect the body near
the exhaust system. Look for broken, damaged,
missing, or out-of-position parts as well
as open seams, holes, loose connections,
or other conditions which could cause
a heat buildup in the floor pan or could
let exhaust fumes into the vehicle.
- Inspect the hoses
and have them replaced if they are cracked,
swollen, or deteriorated. Inspect all
pipes, fittings, and clamps; replace as
needed.
- Clean the outside
of the radiator and air conditioning condenser.
To help ensure proper operation, a pressure
test of the cooling system and pressure
cap is recommended at least once a year.
- Inspect the throttle
system for interference or binding, and
for damaged or missing parts. Replace
parts as needed. Replace any components
that have high effort or excessive wear.
Do not lubricate accelerator or cruise
control cables.
- Inspect brake
lines and hoses for proper hookup, binding,
leaks, cracks, chafing, etc. Inspect disc
brake pads for wear and rotors for surface
condition. Inspect other brake parts,
including calipers, parking brake, etc.
Check parking brake adjustment. You may
need to have your brakes inspected more
often if your driving habits or conditions
result in frequent braking.

Annual checkup
- Lubricate the key lock
cylinders with the lubricant.
- Lubricate all hood hinges,
hood latch assembly, secondary latch, pivots,
spring anchor, release pawl, door hinges, rear
compartment, glove box door, console door and
any folding seat hardware. More frequent lubrication
may be required when exposed to a corrosive
environment.

Alignment
Your Corvette is a high performance vehicle.
As you know it's handling is very different from a sedan. Likewise,
alignments must be done properly. Without proper alignment expensive
tires will wear out faster, and the incredible handling your car can
deliver will be compromised.
Tune-up
Give us a chance to tune your car up again.
Return it's performance to what you experienced when the car was new.
If you can't remember when you had your Corvette tuned up last, it is
probably time to have it tuned up again.
